Is it possible to hack a psp 1001 that has firmware 6.20? I keep hearing back and forth that it's possible and then that it isn't and i want to hear a correct answer. Please help and provide info on how it is possible. Thank you. ^.^

well pyro, yes it is. if your PS is infact a 1000 series, just use a pandora battery and a magic memory stick, and your good to go! all firmware can be hacked on the 1k.

if you need anymore help, you can find most of that help here, if not all.

welcome to brew, hope you stick around

Where would be the cheapest place to get the pandora battery and Magic memory stick? Is there a way to do so without this hardware and if not; will there be? Thank you for the reply train. I'll be sure to stick around and support this site.

thanks. easiest way it to make them yourself.

the 1k batteries are almost undoable, but MMS's are made easy.

check the tut section

CFW is still better

There is a crack for 6.20 right now, but it's in the early alpha stages right now. You'd be waiting for some time before anything CFW enabling would come out, and even then, it'd most likely only enable a software CFW (which goes away if you turn off the PSP). You are far better off making your own Pandora or buying one online.

What is eloader and how does it work? Are there any tutorials on how to make a pandora battery and are there any specifications on the magic memory stick such as the amount of needed memory?

also, heres a vid to make a pandora. DONT BREAK THE PIN OFF. just lift it so you can put it back down again.

put this on your MS before you do all this, so that you can update easily afterwards. 5.50 GEN d-3 supports all the new stuff. and i have a tut on using CXMB cusomt themes

nope, one battery is sufficient. use it to hack, then change it back.
