Need help w/ upgrading

Heres what I have: 2.71 SE-A custom fw w/ DevHook 0.4X, its not on a 082 motherboard. Heres what I want to do, emulation of SNES,Gensis N63 and PSOne games. When I searched on it, there seems to be a huge debate between 3.03 OE-C and 3.10 OE-C. Which of the latest custom fw should I upgrade to and where do I find it?
Thanks!

I'm gonna need a better walkthrough than that, AND I need to know where to find the software to download. Thanks.

BTW - why is 3.10 pointless?

Ah ok. well since I have 2.71 SE-A custom fw, do I need to keep Dev Hook? Cause if I delete it, I'll have 20 MB extra space to but more stuff on my PSP.

From what I have read 3.10 OE-A firmware allows you to use the highest screen brightness without the ac plugged, as well as a bug fix for playing ps1 games.

Can you tell me what functions you lose upgrading from 3.03 OE to 3.10 OE?

Just some firmware mods. You really lose nothing as far as functionality go, but some mods - like changing the opening gameboot, will cause the playstation one emulator to not work.
