Alright guys I got my mms working :) And I installed 5.00m33 :)
I'll be sure to check out those other sections darkpacman-
Now I can't browse the files...I have the usb connected but ya'll told me to click "activate Flash 0" and I can't find that...The closest thing I can find is when I boot with the trigger, and I click "NAND operations" I can then click "Format Lflash" and here I found "Flash 0 size:" and mine is set at 41984 KB. Where can I find the activate flash 0? Should I change the size of the Flash 0? Thanks for the help again guys.

When you boot, what trigger are u holding? Cuz you should be holding R not L. And if u flashed you falsh 0 then you erased you wifi and clock (time date) settings.

Ok...I think I did it right...when I click my memory stick and its plugged in after flashing 0 I see these folders: data, dic, font, kd, vsh. Which one contains the icon images, keyboard layout images, background hex's etc.? I couldn't find any of these files in any of these folders...
Thanks btw you were right i was holding L instead of R ;)

Flash0:// and Flash1:// both do but they aren't in any readable format like .PNG or anything. They're compressed and you need a special program to read them.

You have now passed out of my league of intelligence. Um, all I can think is trouble shoot step bste incase u missed ANYTHING cuz that kind of thing happens to me all the time and then I realize "dehr, its obvious" so just make sure everything is where u need it.

Well, considering i havent touched my psp in 2 years, yes thats pretty much what i have on all 3 of my psp's.

Anyways, Are you on 3.xx OE firmware? you might need to downgrade to that to get the program to function properly. The only other thing i can think of is that you need a decrypted/uncompressed system.prx from the 2.70 firmware placed inside the rco folder along with your rco files.

Worst comes to worst, you can always download some pre-decompressed packs. Here's a link to some (near the bottom of zinga's first post)...

You might also try messaging zinga or z33, they're both pretty helpful.

I consider 5.00 as THE best firmware to come out of dark alex. I only wish there was a newer one so we can do some newer games without losing M33 or wasting time patching things, but I'm not smart enough for that. I don't understand how its coded or anything. If you (not directly you staxx) could tell me how it works and all that, I could make my own cfw.

Just to be certain Staxx...you place the EBOOT file in PSP/Game and you place the RCO folder in root right?

its been a while, but i think everything is already set up straight from the download for where it needs to go...if the rco is in a folder entitled root then yes it goes in the root, otherwise just plug it into the folder that it had came packed in.

airplanes, not to discourage you but if we're out of your league on this one i dont think you'll have any luck at coding new custom firmware. but if you want to take a gander, look for links to source codes for the custom firmware.
