I haven't played Halo 3 except at my friends house for a while (hour or 2 online) but I'd have to say halo 3 because it's like halo 2 but with better graphics and everything we wanted added to halo 2 in it :p Like online campaign.

but see, i havent played halo3 yet, i heard u can use the pelican and the hornet though

I never drove the pelican yet, but you can use the hornet. That's a great addition to the game. Like imagine all the stuff you always said when you played halo 2 like "Man I wish halo 2 would've had...." while you played a game. Well imagine all that stuff added to halo 3 along with better graphics and cool armor customization.

Definatley Halo1! the BEST STORYLINE!!!!

So the game can never be good unless it has a great storyline?

The main thing i like about the Halo series is its mad online. That is awesome.... I could ALOMOST care less about the story line. Im still gonna play that tho.

BUT the graphics are like 3-d blocks though not realistic enough.

Halo 1. That's the only one I'll actually play. In fact, they've updated online play a ton for Halo 1 (PC). Most of the things included in Halo 2 for the PC have already been introduced in multiplayer modes on the PC in Halo 1... so if multiplayer is your reason to play Halo, you may enjoy the benefits of Halo on the PC. I'd imagine good support for Halo 2 also, though I haven't played that on PC yet.

But seeing how I'm not a mindless gamer, I tend to enjoy a good STORY in my games just as much as graphics and gameplay. I'm not going to let better movement or better graphics set my mind on Halo 2 or 3 though... no... far from. Halo 1 is all that and a bag of chips, and I'd have to disagree with the statement about "man I wish Halo2 would have had..." that ace made, because surely, it's not entirely accurate. Halo 2 got criticized for getting rid of the pistol and machine gun, so Halo 3 has them back, but they changed them. No scope for the pistol!!! COME ON!!! that's my favorite weapon!!! Not only that, but only 32 bullets per clip for the machine gun instead of 60? Some people say that it's fine because supposedly it's more accurate... but sometimes gun games are to just shoot bullets around in... which proves why 007 Goldeneye and Perfect Dark were such great predecessors to the newer first person shooters of today.

Nice. ell for pc yea halo 1 is the best, between halo 1 and halo 2 imo. Mainly because you don't need xbox live to play it and well..it's funner. I barely ever use the pistol, could be because I have never really played Halo 1 on xbox. But for xbox I have to say halo 3 is the best.
I mean, I could care less if the pistol has scope, I still won't use it. Here is a short list of things I wish halo 2 had and now they added it to halo 3:
-Online multi co op
-Pick up turrets and carry them carry them around
-Swords are less stronger
-Drive a flying vehicle
-No more host is stronger w/ shotty or what not
-Customizable armor
and just minor tweeks to the weapons, and assualt rifle is back and br isn't one of the best guns, rocket doesn't lock on anymore (thank goodness), and some newer cooler vehicles like the new warthog and mongoose. Plus you get 2 seperate ranks which is cool, and ofcourse better graphics tops it off. The only bad part is you die easier in Halo 3, like melle is stronger.
