Unusual problem

I was at several mall's today and every single PS3 that they have on demo, were all frozen. I thought that they were on pause mode but I turned on the sixaxis and still nothing.
I wonder if that is a problem in the PS3...? Or is it a coincident?

I ran across an article on the net that had to do with this freezing "problem"

Ah, here we are!

Sony rep says PS3 kiosks freeze up intended

apparently, the rep said that the freezing was to stop people from playing the systems all day.

You would think that demo discs would come with a time limit, like most do.

I think it is just another attempt by Sony to cover up their flaws.

I could be wrong, I play my PS3 all the time and never have it freeze up.

Sony is casting evil voodoo magic on their demo systems.

the funniest part of that article is:

"We do that so that people won't play it all day long," he explained. "Specifically during Motorstorm, we made it freeze up a lot."

Sounds to me like he is making things up.

"We made Motorstorm freeze up a lot more than we did Resistance."

I highly doubt they would intentionally make their own systems lock up as opposed to making them go back to the demo menu.

Tisk-tisk Sony

they should seriously make this very apparent... like tell them your times up and than restart.... doing this makes people think the ps3 isnt working.

If you remember, when the PSP came out they tried to say that dead and stuck pixels were normal too.

Hmm.. I really doubt sony would put bugs in their machines just to "stop people from playing them all day".
