Description:
It's one thing for a programmer to take his Lua homebrew, go back to scratch, and re-translate it into C. It's quite another thing to take that new C code and bring it a step further with adding more features and capabilities. Enter slicer4ever and you've got yet another homebrew junkie worth looking up to.
His Block Attack homebrew started out in its early Lua stages, and now it's been un-Lua'ed with his recent v0.3 release. Today, it's now pegged at Block Attack v0.4. The concept remains the same: just dodge the enemy blocks and pick up the "live" ones. Here are the new features he's added for v0.4:
* high scores
* difficulty
* customizable options
There's five difficulty levels to choose from: from easy to insane mode. Settings can also be customized to change your box's color, enemy color, or "live" box color to either red, blue, or green. He mentioned that he would have wanted to put in some music too, however, he notes that it drops the speed too much. So right now, he's planning to incorporate that feature in a future version.
