I like using BitTorrent. Also i remember reading somewhere on this site about a way to increase the Download speed of torrents a lot. I'll post it up here if i find it, but use BitTorrent.

pfft i use bitlord and it works amazing. I just had 600 down and 400 up just yesterday on 3 torrents. You just need to find your torrents that have lots of ppl seeding. I use Torrents.to to search for my torrents. Works GREAT!

You only have to foward ports if your behind a router, look up a tutorial for more info. You can get to most router UCPs by typing in 192.168.0.1 in your browser.
Also utorrent is the most lightwieght client, and wont slow down your system alot like clients do.

if you have Azureus and set the port to 7000, i read it is a standard open unused port on a n Azureus wiki. ive gotten up to 150-170kb/s on dl with at&t dsl. it also works with utorrent. well for me at least.

Now that you mention it, Bitlord makes my computer sound like its trying to take off down the airstrip.

yeah i know its the fan, but the whole system is taxed down when running torrents. Especially if its more than one going at a time.
