I've been out of the loop for awhile. . . (a question)

. . . so the last time I touched my PSP my brother's G/F updated it . . . this was maybe like 3-4 months ago.

It was updated to version 3.51, from v1.5 (not sure why she upgraded it... she knew not to even touch the thing)

So I use to be able to emulate all my fav old games, but atlas I can't. What I was wondering, now that some time has passed, is there anything I can do to get back to being able to play old NES/SNES/Sega/Gameboy(classic/color and advance) games?
Upgrade to downgrade?

I have no cash, so I i have to buy something, I guess I'm screwed.

I ask because, again, I haven't touched my PSP to play games on in months. I've been using it as a big USB memory stick.
If I can't get the use out of it as I did, I'm thinking of just trading it in for a Nintendo DS (something I'd really not have to do, I know when I trade it a game would/will come out and I'd want to play it).

PS: it is an old fatty.

PS2: sorry if this was the wrong part of the forum to ask -.- I don't come here often.

You'll need to look up the Pandora's Battery and Magic Memory Stick. Once you stick both of those modded items in your psp, you can put your psp on a custom firmware and play emulators, homebrew and isos again.

If you know someone who has homebrew enabled on thier PSP then you can change your battery to a custom one, then change it back to a regular one without any problems or fees. :D

so ive been giving it some thought. Attempt to make a Pandora Battery...or get jipped on a trade-in for store credit.

I've read the thread linked, good stuff...and i feel I can do what is needed; but I have a few questions.

I will go out and buy a battery for this. I do not have the skill to make a "switch" as one place had. I can however pop the battery apart, and remove the small part needed to be taken out.

So this might sound n00bish of me.. but what is a good replacement battery?
The above thread says to use a 3.6V ~ 1800 mAh. Model PSP-110...just so happens this is the exact model my battery is now.

I only have a 2gig memory stick, is this ok?
I can just reformat it when all is done and over and still be able to use it?

thanks for any/all info ^-^

i do have the game. It was one of the 1st games I bought.
But I'm at version 3.51 (offical update, was updated via ScareFace or the Metal Gear game). I thought that hack only worked for stuff below 3.51?
