Wii ISO Loader without a modchip

OK, first of all, please don't tell me to search for the answer first, then post a link that doesn't help. I have looked around the site and couldn't find a straight yes or no answer.

Does the Bushing update regarding how nintendo doesnt care about the DVD loader talk about there being an ISO loade on the Wii? This was released in July and I was wondering if there was any new news about it considering how it is September.

OLD news. What you are linking to has already been released (look at the article date... July 27th, 2008). All it does is allow regular DVD's to be played, as well as DVD capability for emulators when they start supporting them.

It does NOT allow backups to be played.

From what I're read, Spanish hacker Waninkoko has been able to make a loader to run backup discs. It's not really an iso loader in that it's still reading backups, not iso's off a drive. Still, allows backups without a modchip...

are they done it? wow. i thought it ouldn't be out for a couple of weeks, at least. it was just announced yesterday.

It hasn't been released as of yet. There's a video on youtube showing it working, but this was made by one of waninkoko's beta testers.
