Homebrew Channel/Twilight Hack Blocked?

I was reading a while back about the Homebrew Channel and I heard with the newest Wii System Update (I have it), it blocks it. However, when I mentioned this on another site, I was told that it was NOT blocked. So is it? I would try it my self to see, but I do not have a SD card reader on my PC, but if it still works with the update, I plan to get one.

PS: The SD card I have is only 256MB, will that be enough to hold the Channel, a LOT of NES/SNES/Genisis/N64/Saturn games, DVD player, WiiPaint (maybe), Wiibrate (maybe), Minesweeper, and some other games and apps?

PSS: I've also heard that if you have this installed and try to go online (like Brawl, Mario Kart, etc, Internet Browser, Shop Channel, Check Mii Out, etc), it will ruin your Wii. Has this ever happened to anyone before?

I don't know where you've been hearing information, because I haven't heard anything resembling what you've just said.

The 3.3 update had temporarily blocked they twilight hack, but a workaround was soon released and now it's no problem.

A 256mb card should be fine for some homebrew, but not a LOT of games.

The last thing you said is just total BS. You're fine.

Okay, I just wanted to make sure before I go out and buy a SD reader/writer for my computer.

(This may sound really stupid, just bare with me)

I know there is an app that lets you play games from any region, but is there one that can play game ISO's burned to DVDs?
(Okay heres the stupid part)
If I were to download a PS2 ISO, is there some sort of file or hack that would make it playable on the Wii? Like converting it or something?

I am new to all this homebrew stuff.

You will NOT be able to play PS2 games on a Wii...

If you have a modchip, it should have a regionfree feature. If you don't have a modchip, then to play Wii backups you have to use Waninkoko's tool... Although it has been left in its beta stage and will not be completed by Waninkoko, so use at your own risk.

If you check the Wiibrew main page you will find some basic instructions on how to get it up and running. Good luck to you.

Okay I bought a SD reader/writer and I'm having some trouble. I extracted to the card, copy data to the Wii, etc. I load the first save file in Zelda and talk to the guy. The black screen comes up and after a little bit, it says:

"Failed to load boot.elf (-1)!
No code found to load, hanging."

So I tried again, no luck. I decided to try on the second save file, but it just freezes.

I'm an unhappy panda. :(

EDIT: Nevermind, I think I fixed it.

Sorry to keep bugging you guys with this.

I got (almost) everything to run, but in FCEU (Nes emulator), I can't seem to be able to save. I'm playing an RPG and its pretty frustrating. I save it, but when I come back later, theres no save file to load.

Also, I'm not sure how to use DVDX. I load it with the Homebrew Channel, and it gives me three options: Normal Install, PatchMii Install, and Advanced, with a description for each. So I go to Normal Install, and it says it completed successfully. So now what? There is no extra option in the channel, theres no channel on the system menu, in the disc channel it still says 'cannot read disc', so what am I suppose to do?

EDIT: Also I just noticed, I downloaded WiiOperation and a gameboy emulator (GNU) and neither are showing up in the Homebrew Channel.
