help mi install the wad installer

help mi install the wad installer

ok everytime i try to install the wad installer when it starts to retreive the files it gives me an error...why?? i have the wiikey at 3.3 any help would be great

the wad installer is not 'installed'. it is just a program run off the SD card.

Make sure the wads you want installed are in a folder titled "wads" in the root of your SD card.

oh ok.....but im having trouble getting the wad installer_v2.1 to run.....when it starts to retrieve the files it gets an error....does wad installer_v2.1 work with version 3.3??? im trying to get it to actually work having trouble with that part

I would say ditch it, and try wad manager, which is the latest wad install utility. It will allow you to install and uninstall wads.

Just going to cover all bases here...

I'm assuming you have the homebrew channel installed on your Wii. If not, then get to it... And make sure you have the most recent version of the homebrew channel (1.0.1).

So, with the homebrew channel on your wii... First, reformat your SD card. Now create a folder titled "apps". Inside that folder create a folder called "wad manager". After that take the wad manager dol, rename it "boot.dol" (make sure it is not an elf file!) and place this in the wad manager folder. The take your wads and put them in a folder titled "wads" on the root of your SD card. Boot with homebrew channel.

And for the record, having a modchip means nothing for homebrew.

hey thanx for the help i got it to work... i was getting some errors when i tried any wad installers or wand manager...i downgraded from 3.3u to 3.2 and still was getting errors...then i used the ios16 wad and i used the wadmanagerios16 then i went to a normal wad manager v3.1 to install the wad an it worked..i did that whole process and it worked i was getting ret -1 error and some others something about that ios16 wad let the wads work... why do u think so??
