Playing emulator on the Wii

I downloaded the vba emulator with the apps and the place for roms and saves. I saved it on my sd card, but how do I start it from there?

You load it from the Homebrew Channel.

I went there and it showed my sd card but then it was blank didn't load up. Do I need the wiibrew channel?

I believe you load up the Homebrew Channel and make the selections from there... i actually dont have a wii, so somebody with more knowledge will probably be able to help you soon.
