My SD card broke and I have Wii Menu 4.0

When Wii Menu 4.0 came out,I read that was safe to update if you already had Homebrew and Gecko OS installed, so I updated. A little while later, my SD card broke and my computer won't even read it. I have another SD card, can I possibly get what I had back even though I have Wii Menu 4.0. I still have the Homebrew Channel.

nevermind. by the time someone replied to this I had already taken the risk, bought a new SD card, and now have Gecko OS back to the way it was. So thanks for replying but I figured out the answer to my own question.
